Today my Math/P.E. teacher switched Math with P.E. again. I am starting to think it is permanently Math twice first hours and P.E. at the end of the day. After Math, I had Bio twice where my class went into the lab next door. There seemed to be a little bit of every animal in the world! In fiction books, you read about pickled eyes and stuff in the creepy attic or something like that. Well, it turns out they were not lying, there were slices of muscles in jars and reptile skins and tons of bones! It was disgusting, cool and interesting all at the same time. I cannot believe that things like that are found in schools.
In the break, we played "cops and robbers". I was a cop so I partnered up with Luke and we patrolled the back of the school. We did not see anyone after three rounds so we went inside and chased a few but only caught one because they saw us first. I guess we were not sneaky enough to fool them. It was fun but we were all tired from running around the school.
After school, Merinda let Synja and me go outside so we paced a football back and forth. Then, we came in to eat and then started on our homework. We got it done as fast as we could (which was not very fast because we kept getting sidetracked thinking about what we would play outside when we finished). The minute we finished, we rushed outside to "play Quidditch" . We took a ball and used bamboo for our broom sticks and threw the ball at each other trying to make a goal. It was fun, but we should have known it was too good to last.
Hi Colman,
ReplyDeleteStill trying to post from my MAC and it's still not working! So I'm e-mailing this to Grampa so he can post it from his computer! Duh -- why didn't I think of this earlier.
Right now I am at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina at Ryan's & Asha's house. For 3 days I'm watching Gabriel who is so much FUN!! He's almost 17 months old and is VERY busy. I'll try to send you a video of him eating. He's very good at it and thoroughly enjoys his food!!
Wow I can hardly believe its been almost 3 months that you've been in Germany. I hope that it works out that you can stay until you're ready to go home and not be forced to leave. I love reading about your experiences and admire your courage in your classes, when there's so much you don't understand! Your positive attitude is one that we should all emulate because throughout our lives there are always difficult things that we have to overcome. I really like how you approach the problem of missing your test dates by resolving to pay more attention. That's how we become better & better! And I love how you are handling your homesickness -- that approach can be applied to so many things!! Thanks for your great example!
Love and miss you! Gramma Carolyn
Colman,
ReplyDeleteLets see if this video of Gabriel eating can be sent to you.

Finishing off his bowl of sweet potatoes for dessert after chicken nuggets & a pouch of baby food! Growing boy!!
Colman, it looks like the video didn't come through. Oh well, maybe there's a better way. This is Grandpa. I am still in Utah. Grandma sent me the video from North Carolina. I will be leaving to join her next Wednesday. We will spend a few days on the ocean beach in Maryland along with others of her family. On Tuesday Janessa, Evan, Emmi, Paityn, and Hadley will arrive here in Highland. I will get to see them for a day before I leave. They will be here for a few days while Evan attends some meetings. Everyone is traveling, everyone is going somewhere. To and fro everywhere! We get on the highway (or the autobon in Germany)) and just as many cars are going north to south as they are going south to north. Maybe we should all just stay where we are! But that would be a lot less fun. Enjoy your stay.
ReplyDeleteAsk Merinda if the visitor restrictions you are confronted with means we will only be able to stay for three months when we come to visit them. (She'll croak!)
Love, Grandpa Rey
Hi Grandma and Grandpa. that was a good idea to e-mail it. to bad you could't send us the video. Oh well I guess I'll see it some time.
ReplyDeleteI love you both and hope you are both well.
